you remember the book 'goodnight moon', right?
so check it - they've removed the ashtray from the illustrations in the book and taken the cigarette out of the author's hand in his picture.
while i'm all for people not smoking, even annoyingly so at times, i'm not so sure that this is good.
at the very least it makes me feel wierd.
i think of that movie 'basic instinct' where they had to manipulate the video in order to see the woman leaving the room where she killed the guy -
that might have been one of my first realizations that
reality (like realty),
unless you see it with your own eyes, is very suspect.
