we were on our way to philly on the train, when all of a sudden, the train jolted to a stop. the lights went out, the ac went off and the smell of smoke filled the air.
shit, i thought. this can't be good.
turns out we hit something, though they never told us what.
thinking quickly, i ran to the food car to get some supplies. who knew how long it would be?
i picked up a couple of beers and some m&ms. perfect.
on the way back to our seats, they announced that we hit something and they have to make sure that the train is ok. "we will be stopped indefinitely."
i got back to the seats and told j to rush back to the food cart and get more alcohol.
this could turn into a huge party, and i didn't want to be under-supplied.
she came back with a couple more bottles of beer, some whiskey and some pretzels.
along with the ipod video, we were set for hours.
between beer one and two, the train started again...i'll admit i was somewhat disappointed.
we chugged the beer and whiskey, finishing as we pulled into 30th street station, about two hours late.
that'll teach you.
that interviewer was the editor in chief of street when i was a sophomore.
